EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I am trying to install the latest jomsocial component. When I try, Akeeba first attempts to do its regular backup. But, I get a 500 error right away. Log attached...if you want a screenshot of the error, I will attach it as well.

If I just try to do a regular backup through Akeeba, it all works just fine. This is the first time I've experienced this with a component install.

I did follow the instructions here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abbackup.html

I unpublished each system plugin, and none made a difference to that link in the help file.

There is a known issue withe the System Restore Points and Akeeba Backup Professional 3.3.11 and 3.3.12 (and possibly 3.3.10 as well). You will have to disable the "System - System Restore Points" plugin before attempting to update any software, including Akeeba Backup itself. A bugfix has been created and a new version will be published later today which addresses this issue.
