Hello,

I was able to automate the backup process. He did on the NAS. However, there was a problem. A lot of spam was coming from the e-mail address in the hosting domain: [email protected]. I know that many e-mails reached the  address [email protected]   Why was this happening? After I deleted the cron, everything was back to normal

CRON scheduling using wget (most hosts, most Linux distributions): > wget --max-redirect=10000 "https://swprojekt.pl/wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp/app/remote.php?view=remote&key=zHbgRh4HiNZFlQOiViOEUwyJFGJZ1nrC"   Best regast Leszek

Hello,

can you please be a bit more specific about those "spam" emails? Can I get a copy of one of them? You can forward it to [email protected]

Hello,

sorry for the late reply, but I was out of office for a couple of days.

Looking at the emails you forwarded, it seems there could a typo in the command you're trying to execute. Can you please attach a screenshot of your control panel and how you saved the command to execute?

Were you triggering the backup on the same server or on another website?

You do not need to add the path "/home/viggami" (or anything else) before the backup command with the WGET script. You are receiving errors because that path is a directory and your server can not execute it. Replace all the contents of the Command field with the string provided by Akeeba Backup plugin.

I'm sorry, but I need to see the actual command you put inside the CRON that is causing all that spam. Please attach it here or paste here the link, do not send it by email since I can't show it to my coworkers in case I need an extra pair of eyes.
