We had written an integration but the client told us that there was a new version of MainWP where our integration wouldn't work. We asked for a copy of the new version and never received it. Same thing happened with another two clients.
At this point I am not willing to waste any more of our development time trying to support MainWP. The whole process of writing a plugin, verifying it with MainWP, approving it with the WordPress Directory and having to do free support on the Directory –only to repeat the exercise every few months with a new MainWP version– sounds awfully like a whole lot of trouble for solving a non-existent problem.
There are two alternatives you could use.
If you just want to take / download backups remotely just use Akeeba Remote CLI.
If you want a web interface to manage your sites and your backups you can use mySite.guru or Watchful.net. They work perfectly with Akeeba Backup Professional for WordPress.
