I have installed Akeeba Backup Manually, because we have a non standard ssh port.
After installing, and activating I get the following Error:

1146: Application error
Table 'infositeDB.ve_ak_profiles' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT `id` FROM `ve_ak_profiles`

When I look in my database the table does not exist. So the computer is right. But how do I solve this problem.

Is this missing table a Akeeba table? And if so, how can I get it by manually installing?

We run Wordpress on a self managed VPS. Wordpress Template is developed by an external company and sources and database are given in a zip.

Kind regards,

Hello Joke,

When you visit Akeeba Backup's first page it checks if the database tables are installed. If not, it tries to install them. This, however, requires that the database user configured with your site allows the creation of tables. Please contact the hosting company and ask them to check that the database user (as defined in your site's wp-config.php file) does have the correct permissions to create database tables.

Hello Nicholas,

Wordpress is running on our self managed VPS.
I have checked the rights of the database user, but it is allowed to create tables.

So ther must be something else.

First diasble and uninstall Akeeba Backup from your site through WordPress. Make sure that the folder wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp no longer exists. If it does, please remove it. If you see a folder wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwpcore please remove that too (that would be the old free version we were distributing through the WordPress Plugin Directory).

Now download the ZIP Akeeba Backup for WordPress and extract it. You will see the folder akeebabackupwp being extracted. Upload this folder into wp-content/plugins so now you have a folder wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp.

Go to your site's wp-admin and enable the Akeeba Backup plugin. Now visit the plugin's page again. It will install its database tables.
