My initial thought was that the encryption key file used by Akeeba to encrypt the settings has somehow got corrupted but the web interface can access the settings and so I presume not.
- Should I remove the plugin and reinstall?
- Is it possible that some database tables created by the free version have not been overwritten and they are causing this problem? Should I delete all Akeeba tables and reinstall plugin?
I can run backups from the plugin control panel in Wordpress which run successfully and get uploaded to S3 and I have restored a backup using kickstart*.
[Note: This is may be a related problem - I had an error in the last stage ("Replace Data") of the web panel initiated restoration process - I'll log a ticket this separately - This resulted in a corrupt wordpress installation.]
I look forward to any light that you can shed on this or even better a solution.
Kind regards
Colin
