Please note: I am not sure about the of the Wordpress version as I can't log in to check it!!!

My host have suspended the website, and sent me this:
/public_html/xxxxxxxx/wp-content/plugins/akeebabackupwp/app/Awf/Mailer/Mailer.php (possible malicious file; matched pattern /[Mm][aA4][iIl1][1lL][eE3][rR]\.php)

Can I safely remove the file?

Hello Britt,

you should not remove the file.
Your host just found a false positive, this is a legit file. Moreover, their way to check is wrong: their rule reports as infected any file named mailer.php. Well, that's a very common name for a file, I'm not surprised you got a false positive.

Please ask your host to re-enable your account. By the way, what's the name of your hosting?
