Hello, i header about Glacier and i'm i wondering if Akeeba Backup support to store backup to Amazon Glacier ? i think Glacier is enough since i don't do a lot with backup.. and it's cheaper than s3

Hello Viktor,

as far as I know at the moment there isn't any plan to support it. For your information, Glacier is not a real option since all the process happens in batches. You have to upload your files and then ask for them, wait until they are ready (several hours) and finally you can download them. Moreover you will get charged for every transfer (and they are not very cheap).

At the same time, please take a look at all the storage options for S3: they have Reduced Redundant Storage and Standard Infrequent Access. The latter is really cheap, it's just slightly more than the Glacier and it works exactly like S3, so it's the best of the two worlds.
