Hello,

I also would help again for the german files directly :-)

best regards,
Pierre.

Akeeba Backup for WordPress uses the translation files from Akeeba Backup for Joomla! and Akeeba Solo. They are included with the plugin and loaded automatically, based on your browser's language settings.

Hi Nicholas,

thanks for the details. And great, all the work of us translators have not to be done again :-)

I am sorry, that does not work for me on 2 different pcs (both win7) and different browsers (chrome and gecko based ones and IE^^) on version 1.0.1 (pro and core) on some sites on different servers...

I could also check it with 2 linux distros, if it would be helpful. When would appreciate access or browser-/serverdetails, feel free... its not hurrying at all.

Am I really the only one who did mention this? (think)

Best wishes to Greek from Germany,
Pierre.

Could you please let me know what doesn't work? Akeeba Backup for WordPress and Akeeba Solo use the language setting from your browser. For example, in Chrome you have to go to Settings, click on "Show advanced settings" at the bottom, click on "Language and input settings" under the "Language" header and set the preferred order of your languages. Please remember that you need to add "German (Germany)" and drag it at the top of the list. If the top language is English you will see the interface in English. I hope that helps!

Thanks for your reply. The wordpress installs plugin GUI is just visible in its default language english. All other things on the plugin work as expected.
Yes, german is my default and primary language as you described in all browsers, indeed I checked it after your message again. Of course is english also added but always defined as secondary one.
Maybe there is another problem I cannot figure out at the moment. It´s no wild thing for now, so I´ll stay on watching it... maybe the voilá comes soon :-)
Soon I´ll take a copy of Akeeba Solo and check its GUI for putting out my preferred language.

Has anyone else this problem?

Good news! I can reproduce the issue and found its root cause. We'll address it in the next release planned for this week.
