Please first try following our step by step instructions in our documentation for determining the required exceptions you have to add for your software to work. If this does not help, please post back.

I went through the site with Firefox and Firebug and excluded several files that were showing an Error 403.
I have been unable to make the Image Rotator run.
Firebug shows this as:
http://xxxxxx.com/modules/mod_flipphoto_pro/banner.swf?xmlPath=http://xxxxxx.com/modules/mod_flipphoto_pro/data.php?rid=2
I tried putting "modules/mod_flipphoto_pro/banner.swp" as an excluded file as well as "modules/mod_flipphoto_pro/data.php"
I even tried putting "modules/mod_flipphoto_pro" as an excluded directory including php.
Any other ideas?

Many thanks for all assistance.

Normally, adding the modules/mod_flipphoto_pro (without a leading or trailing slash) to the list of excluded directories, including PHP files, should do the trick, as long as you are using Admin Tools Professional 2.0.5. Can you send me a Personal Message with the URL to your site, Super Admin login information, FTP login information (in case I screw up .htaccess by accident) and a link back to this thread? This will allow me to debug the problem directly on your site. Thank you!

Thank you for your PM!

I fixed the following issues:
- Your Super Administrator password was different than the one you gave me. I created a new SA account and used it to reset your regular SA's password to the one you sent in your PM. I have demoted my temporary SA account down to the registered level now that I'm done.
- Your images had a .JPG extension (all capital letters). JPG, Jpg, jPg and jpg are all different as far as your web server is concerned. I added the all-uppercase JPG extension to the list of available front-end extensions in .htaccess Maker.
- Your module is passing an absolute URL (complete with the http protocol prefix) as a query parameter to the SWF file. This was being blocked by the "Block most file injection attacks" rule in .htaccess Maker. Disabling it now works. My suggestion: use a different image rotator. The way this one works is extremely unsafe and could cause security issues in the long run.

That's all, your site is now working properly :)

Any suggestions for a safe header image rotator?

reading nico's comments your setup sounds like a nightmare.

try ja slideshow from joomart, they make some pretty good stuff. you certainly wont be having that issues. the level of complexity of what they do is quiet high, so not without bugs however they has a massive development team and fix things very quick.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will check it out.
Forgive the noob question, but I am still unable to get into the site with the plugin enabled. Both sides of the site will not load for me at the moment. I have put my IP in the Admin whitelist and still no go.

Sorry for the delay, your message came in as soon as I was out for my lunch break. Your IP seems to have been auto-banned. Using phpMyAdmin please remove all records from the jos_admintools_ipautoban and jos_admintools_log tables. This will allow you to log in to your site normally. I am working on a solution for the next release (2.1) of Admin Tools.
