Im not sure how, but...with the ATP active, my Universal Ajax Chat no longer works.
If i delete the ATP created htaccess file, the chat works, but if i activate the protections in ATP, it ceases the chat.

Any suggestions?
thanks.

You can try disabling the features in WAF Config one by one until you find out which one blocks that chat. I'd start with Bad Behavior and XSSShield.

Will post results.

I cannot get it to work.

Im unsure whats safe to change or not, but Im open to any other suggestions. Interestingly the site seemed to be working fine till this morning.
Id be happy to send admin login if you happen to have a few moments to take a look.

OK! Send me a Personal Message using the link on the right hand column (I'm user "nicholas") with your site's URL and Super Administrator login information. Please allow up to 14 hours, as it's 8 p.m. on a bank holiday and I will have to wrap up working and be dragged to dinner any time now :)

Ah! You confused me with your first post, as I didn't quite understand what you were saying, but I figured it out now. The problem was with .htaccess maker, not WAF. All you had to to was to follow the documentation instructions to add an exception to the .htaccess Maker. I've done it for you and you're ready for action :)

BTW, I like this chat application. I wish there was something like that 8 years ago when me and a friend of mine were trying to implement something like that in our first Mambo site :)

Thanks AGAIN for your help!

That chat app I looked high and low for one, finally found this one. Its a commercial app, and works really well for us.

With the documentation i should have gone back and looked, but since the chat worked perfectly for over a week I wasnt sure what was happening lol.

Thanks again for your help!

seem to be having another issue now when trying to backup with Akeeba:

The backup operation has been halted because an error was detected.
The last error message was:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I'm going to work on this...I'll start here:

Backup Issues Page

1.) Running the Akeeba Config Wiz.

Ran it, tried to backup from backend and it failed.
Debug file attached.

I'm going to give you some advice regarding the backup issue, but it's really best to start a new thread, as this support request has nothing to do with Admin Tools.

OK. Go to Akeeba Backup's Configuration page and set the following Fine Tuning options towards the bottom of the page:
- Minimum execution time: 1 second
- Maximum execution time: 10 seconds
- Bias: 50%
- All checkboxes left unchecked

Save and retry backup. If it fails, please start a new thread in the Akeeba Backup forum and attach the new log file in your post.

Will do so now, thank you again.

Hey nicolas, you helped me setup this chat component through Admin Tools on my last host, but Im having issues with it again, after reading the documentation on adding exceptions Im still having issues on it on the new host. Could you explain what you did to add this? Or I can send login info if it would be easier to look at it that way.

Thanks again.

Please look at my post above. I didn't do anything else except follow the step-by-step instructions in the documentation ;)

There are no unloaded images, 404 errors or any of the things I read about in this linked page to assist me. Ive added what i believe to be the appropriate lines in the server protection exceptions, and saved the new htaccess. The component still does not work through admin tools restrictions. I also, one by one, disabled the restrictions as suggested in another post. At the current moment, the component now throws an "invalid username" error. Im guessing because it cannot access the database info...but I dont know. The component worked well or weeks, but became snagged when i added admin tools. The tools are incredible helpful, and i want to continue to use them.
