Hi,

I have activated the admintools Meta and generator. It changes the frontend (site)generator from joomla to my name but in the backend source code still generator remains to joomla.
I would like to know how could I remove the generator from the backend by using the admintools.
I appreciate any advise

Removing the generator tag from the front-end makes sense, as you don't want random web visitors to see that your site is made with Joomla! and -more importantly- you don't want search engines to cache that information because hackers do Google searches on Joomla!'s generator tag to find potential target sites.

Now, what is the point of removing the generator tag in the back-end pages which are only accessible to authorised people who know exactly how the site is built and, in fact, administer it? There's no point. As a result there is absolutely no reason for me to create a feature which wastes CPU cycles without doing anything useful. And that's exactly why that Admin Tools Professional feature is only active in the front-end of your site.
