The error message does NOT come from Admin Tools. It's the "System - mooTools upgrade" plugin that throws this error. This is a core plugin installed with Joomla! 1.5.20 and later. Please ask for support regarding core Joomla! code to the Joomla! forum at http://forum.joomla.org I can only provide support for the code I have written :)

Admin Tools, just like all modern software, requires PHP 5. To be exact, it's PHP 5.2.9 or greater as explicitly mentioned on our user's guide. PHP 4, the version your host is using, has been discontinued and is not supported by the PHP developers since August 8th, 2008 - almost three years ago. Please ask your host to enable PHP 5 on your account.

You have modified your core Joomla! installation files. Your site reports the wrong Joomla! version number to Admin Tools, misleading it into believing it's running under Joomla! 1.6 and causing this issue. This block of code should have never run on Joomla! 1.5.22.

How to solve:
1. Download a fresh Joomla! 1.5.22 full installation package from joomla.org
2. Extract it locally
3. Remove the installation directory
4. Upload all of the remaining files, overwriting any existing files

This should revert your core Joomla! files to their original state and make the problem go away.

Front : Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/15/d359182569/htdocs/site/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/ps_module.php on line 262

Admin :
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/15/d359182569/htdocs/site/administrator/components/com_admintools/admintools.php on line 128

I have 2 sites : in /www (1.6) & /site (1.5.22)

This is the "site" that plant. I have not tried with the "WWW".

I do not understand what's happening!

PS : It's OK for my files. But my version is joomla.fr 1.5.22 !

In this case it seems that your site has a major problem, most likely due to some misbehaving system plugin. Having two different extensions fail in the same way is a good indication that the problem is not extension-specific.

If you want to disable Admin Tools' system plugin -so that you can be sure it doesn't interfere with anything else while you try logging in to your site's back-end- simply rename the plugins/system/admintools/main.php to main.old.php. This forces our plugin to never load.
