Hello All
I have AT pro working well and so far so good.

I have migrated a wordpress blog and can access the blog, log in etc, however when I try to access the Admin side of things I get a 500 error.

Just wondering if the .htaccess created by AT may be restricting access and where could I check that?

Thanks for any assistance
John

This is what I understand:
You had a Joomla! site. You installed Admin Tools Professional. You created a .htaccess file using the .htaccess Maker. You installed WordPress in a subdirectory of the site. WordPress' admin doesn't work.

If this is the case, you need to add WordPress' directory to the list of exception directories (the ones which allow all PHP files as well) and then click on Save and Create .htaccess. Admin Tools' .htaccess is optimized for Joomla! and Joomla! only. Any and all other PHP scripts and applications (WordPress, Drupal, you-name-it) won't work with it and have to be added to its exceptions list.

Hello
After you mentioned the exceptions I went through the manual again...DOH!
I have added the admin folder to the exceptions and it still fails, I can can access the main page of the blog and all is ok, I can login that is fine too.
It's only when I try to access the admin screen that I get the 500 error.

In the exceptions under:
- Allow direct access, including .php files, to these directories

I added the folder blogname/wp-admin....is this the only requirement?
Thanks John

I'd suggest adding the "blogname" directory in this exception box. Then click on Save and Apply .htaccess. This effectively allows full access to your WordPress installation. If that still doesn't work, it has to be a WordPress issue; adding a directory to this exception box allows full access to the directory, as if there was no .htaccess to begin with.

Hello Nicholas,
I tried a variety of things without success.

I will focus on WP as the issue doesn't seem to be involved with AT in any way.

Many thanks for the suggestions.
