I use a product called JEPUM/JEFUM (Joomla Easy Picture/File Upload manager) to upload to my site. This is a very nice tool but once I installed Admin Tools it quit working saying "Please verify the username and password for the site and try again". It worked fine before I installed Admin Tools and it works fine on some of my other sites. I have been throught the documentation to try to figure out how to fix the problem. I am not using the .htaccess maker at this time due to another issue. I see where I can put exception in the .htaccess but how can I allow the product to work without using .htaccess; at least until I can resolve the .htaccess issue. Thanks Fred

I am not familiar with that extension. If the problem occurs as soon as you create a .htaccess file with Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker, the only way to fix it is to follow the documentation instructions regarding adding exceptions.

If you have not used Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker yet, which features of Admin Tools did you use before the problem occurred?

I am not using .htaccess maker yet. I tried it and it broke my site. I have a forum post on this issue as well and I am working on it. The software quit working as soon as I activated the Admin Tools security with the default settings. I can give you access to my site if you want to take a look at it. My next step is to turn off all the security features and see if that fixes it. Then I will add them back in one at a time to see which on breaks it. The JEPUM/JEFUM untilities I am using is nothing more than a simple FTP type utility that lets me drag and drop items onto the website. Thanks Fred

I went to the firewall and turned everything off and I still have the problem. Not sure where to go from here. Need help. Thanks

Do you have a subscription upgrade option. I am interested in upgradig to the deluxe subscription for support and additional features.

If turning off all security options didn't work, most likely this component requires 0777 permissions on its upload directory. If you have used the Fix Permissions option, it has reverted the permissions to 0755, that's why the uploader stopped working. You should now do one of the following:
1. You can try enabling the FTP options in your site's Global Configuration section (recommended). Judging from the error message thrown by the component, it seems to expect them to be set in order to work without requiring 0777 directories.
2. Find its upload directory and change its permissions to 0777. I do not recommend this option, but it may be your only choice.

If you can't get it to work, please send me a Personal Message with Super Administrator login credentials to your site, your site's URL and a link back to this message.

Your last message came after I started typing my reply. There is no automated subscription upgrade option. However, you can email me your PayPal email address to nicholas -@t- akeebabackup -D0t- com and I will send you a PayPal payment request for the price difference. Once you fullfil it, I will upgrade your account to AKEEBADELUXE.

It seems that the extension you are using makes use of a separate entry point inside a directory called amfphp. I tried to add an exception to the .htaccess Maker, but I can not test it as I can not use the desktop client on my machine. Please test and, if it doesn't work, please ask the developer of that extension to assist you. It's not a standard Joomla! extension and I can't try to dissect it in order to figure out how it works.

I will email you regarding the upgrade.
