By default, most common media files are allowed to be called directly from anywhere in the subdirectories of the "components" directory. I can think of two issues:
- An image without an extension
- Enabling the referer filtering feature
Begin by disabling the referer filtering and, if this doesn't work, check the image file names. Does it have a valid image extension (e.g. jpg, png, gif, bmp)? If it does, is it lowercase or uppercase? On the web, JPG, jpg, Jpg and jPg are all different extensions and could throw off the exceptions regular exception built into Admin Tools' .htaccess Maker.
