#9724 Table Prefix: tables are doubled

Hi,
I had changed my db table prefix using Admin Tools, then backed up my site and moved to another host. I just realized today that my database size is doubled. All the tables are there with both prefixes i.e. jos_ and shkr_

If I check through Admin Tools, It is still showing me that db prefix is shkr_, does this mean that I can safely delete all the jos_ tables which are exactly duplicates?
