Hi Nicholas.

After updating to RC2 tha Joomla update notification still telling me that 1.5.20 is installed and there's no newer version. It says latest version 1.5.20 and status up to date.

This issue is supposedly solved by upgrading to the latest version of Admin Tools (published yesterday or today). However, another problem is the actual upgrade - automated one (from within Admin Tools) doesn't work, and Extension Manager's Install produces this error when trying to install com_admintools-1.0.RC2-pro: Unable to find install package...

Zocor, in RC2 you can either wait 6 hours for the upgrade notification to reset and download the new information or use the "download the information from the server" button to force an update.

@konstantin07 This should only appear if you are running a very old (pre-1.5.12) version of Joomla!, or if your tmp directory is unwritable and Joomla! can't extract the installation package. I would suggest enabling Joomla!'s FTP mode in Global Configuration and retry the installation. This time I think it will work.

Thank you for your reply, Nicholas.
I am running 1.5.20, FTP mode is enabled, tmp directory is writeable (just checked). Still getting the same error message. Any ideas?

I just had an update notification but when i tryed to update I got an extraction error telling me the archife was missing a part or was corrupt. After trying again two times i got the same error and had to manually update to 1.5.21. Next time I'll use the "download the information from the server" button to force an update.

Both errors have been tracked down to the temporary directory being unwritable. The error condition has been worked around in the latest developer's release (63, at the time of this writing) available from our developer releases repository. Please try it out and tell me if it worked for you. Thanks!

Sorry but i have updated to J 1.5.21 this afternoon, so there's little to test right now. I'll wait for the next Admin Tools update and hopefully Joomla wil have an update in the near future.

grtz, Z. ;)

You can always clone the site to a subdirectory (or even install a blank site on a subdirectory), then choose Admin Tools' option to reinstall 1.5.21. This will tell you if it works or not :)

I have the same problem. It is not possible for me to update to the new joomla via ATPRO RC2. I get the same error message described above.

Maybe a reason could be that my tmp directory is far away for the normal installation of joomla, under /joomla/sitename/tmp and not und the normal on the setup installed tmp path.

But all other installations and also the upgrade to ATPRO RC2 works fine. The tmp path have also full write rights.

@starrs It would help me if you could copy & paste the entire error message, as it will also tell me which line in which file caused this problem, which will allow me to figure out why this happened and solve it.

@konstantin07 You're welcome!

Hi Nicolas
Probably Minor, but it may help in debugging. After a manual update because of the issues in this thread, which I've only just seen, the attached message is shown in the control panel. I've got the RC2-Pro Version installed.

This is a known issue, addressed in the developer's release 68 and above, available from our "Developer's Releases" download area.
