my site is on a cPanel hosting. I need to to password protect a directory, I know that using cPanel tool it changes .htaccess file so I suppose a conflict with Admin Tools.
So, how to?

Everybody will be able to see its contents. Do not include usernames, passwords or any other sensitive information.

la soluzione migliore è capire quali modifiche sono apportate al file .htaccess e copiarli all'interno del tool Htaccess Maker, nel campo "Add these rules at the top of the file". In questo modo non andranno perse ogni volta che il file viene rigenerato
