Hello all you wise guys at Akeeba 🙏

"I could only choose admintool but it's probably a MAMP and kickstart issue"

I an trying to reinstall a backup with Akeeba kickstart and get this error:

Unable to connect to the Database: SESSION variable 'max_allowed_packet' is read-only. Use SET GLOBAL to assign the value

Can you give a hint on that error - never seen it before!

Hello,

what's the version of Akeeba Backup that is used to take the backup? If I remember correctly, that's an issue that we fixed a long time ago. Is it possible to upgrade your Akeeba Backup version, take a new backup and then proceed with the restoration?
