One item is shown in THE DISCOVER list on the System Dashboard page. Here’d what it says :
Installer - Admin Tools Professional
Only used in Joomla! 3. Applies the Download ID setting when installing Admin Tools updates. Please enable this plugin and enter your Download ID in the component's Options page to avoid error 403 when installing updates. Kindly note that you also need an active, qualifying subscription on our site, https://www.akeeba.com, to install updates without receiving error 403.
The version plugin to discover and install (?) is 6.1.8

But I do have however already Admin Tools version 7.3.2 installed with the correct download key and it is working fine.

But due multiple issues I've encountered upgrading sites I have become a bit wary about installing/deinstalling/upgrading/updating things on sites. What is the best way to get rid this discovered item ?

That's an old plugin which is no longer used. It was used in Joomla 3 as a fallback method to providing the Download ID if you used the rebuild button in the Update Sites page. It's no longer necessary in Joomla 4 because Joomla 4 knows about Download IDs (it calls them Download Keys), lets you manage them in the Update Sites page, and will refuse to install the update of a paid extension if you do not provide the Download Key (a.k.a. Download ID). So, this plugin, even if it were enabled, would not actually do anything in Joomla 4.

Use Discover to install it, then go to System, Extensions, Manage to uninstall it.

Remember that installing a plugin does not enable it. A plugin which is installed but not enabled does not run. Therefore it has zero impact to your site.
