Dear Akeeba Support

When I click to another page through the main-menu all pages say "404 - Category not found". Only the Home-page is okay.

What can I do to solve this?

  • A few weeks ago I have migrated from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4, everything worked well.
  • This error appears since I did the latest Joomla update and created the .htaccess file one more time as new.
  • When I switch off 'SEF-url's" all pages are just fine.
  • .htaccess file is present
  • web.config.txt is renamed to web.config

I hope you can help to find a solution, if it costs some money please let me know. That's just fine.

Hello,

looking at the info you provided, it seems that your server doesn't have the mod_rewrite Apache module installed and enabled.

Please get in touch with your hosting company and ask them to review your server configuration, since you need that module installed and enabled to have SEF links.
