I am concerned as I get a handful of notifications with this statement below.
"We would like to notify you that one or more files you asked Admin Tools to monitor for changes have been modified on your site, The list of files modified on your site is as follows:

* "

The modified files is nothing? or what is changing on my sites maybe the .htaccess. I just don't understand whats modified for *.

This is also happening on different versions of Joomla from 4.2.2, 4.2.5 4.2.7.

This is the email for custom files you have set up to be monitored in Admin Tools for Joomla, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF, Hardening Options, Monitor these files for changes. If you see an empty row, that's what triggered the email. Click on the Save button in the toolbar twice, ignoring any warnings. Then click on Save & Close.

If that wasn't the case, it's possible that the problem is just the email template.

Go to Admin Tools for Joomla, Web Application Firewall, Email Templates and click on the Mail Templates button.

Click on the "Admin Tools: Monitored file changed" item.

The Body (if visible) should have an {INFO} tag. The HTML Body (if visible) should have an {INFO_HTML} tag.

If this is already the case please let me know so I can check if anything else might be amiss.

Hello Nicholas,

Out of 70 websites I have 6 sites that shoot back the modified files error. This morning once again I had 6 emails reporting this error.

I had nothing to save twice in the tool bar but I did click on "Your server config file may need to be rebuilt " and that warning is gone now. I am going to ensure all the site config files are regenerated.

"Admin Tools: Monitored file changed" shows the info tag but I cannot see any HTML or that INFO_HTML.

Not sure what else I can look at or change?

Did you check what I described in the first paragraph of my previous reply? That's most likely what the problem is, not the email template.

Hi Nicholas,

Im sorry I did not follow your instructions properly.

I have just now done it "The Web Application Firewall's configuration was saved."

Thanks for your help!

No worries! I was asking because I didn't want to make a wrong assumption and lead you down to a wild goose chase.

Have an awesome day, Dan!
