I've recently discovered that a setting in AdminTools htaccessmaker has changed: "Allow direct access, including .php files, to these directories"

/installation

has been added and I know I haven't added this myself so just want to check with you if that is how it should be. What is your advice, please?

Best regards

This and kickstart.php must be there for site restorations to work. When you are restoring a site you are extracting the backup archive and the accessing the /installation/index.php URL. If the installation folder is not allowed direct access the restoration cannot proceed.

While we DO try to rename the current .htaccess to htaccess.bak when extracting a backup archive this may not always be possible. That's why we are adding this by default to the .htaccess Maker's default settings.

Thank you so much Nicholas 👍🏽😊🙏🏽

You've clarified so now I know all is good.
