I have a question relating to the Admin Tools Master Password option. If I enable this option (by selecting the various protection options and entering a password) and later decide I don't want this feature enabled, what do I have to do to disable it? Can I just erase the password field after getting into the Master Password option with my password?

yes, you're right. Simply clear that field and save, it will disable the Master Password feature
