I have just installed a vanilla copy of Joomla 4.0.0

I then installed Akeeba Backup Core 9.0.3 with no problem

I then tried to install Admin Tools Pro from the download using package file which gave the following issue:

JInstaller: :Install: Error SQL Key column 'admintools_filescache_id' doesn't exist in table Extension installation aborted. Package Install: There was an error installing an extension: com_admintools-pro.zip Error installing package   I cleared out thrre tables from the database _admintools_adminiplist _admintools_badwords _admintools_customperms   and then tried with the URL method and had the same result.

Thank you for the heads up! For now try to install Admin Tools 6 first, then upgrade it to Admin Tools 7. Do remember that Admin Tools 6 can be installed just fine on Joomla 4; it's our “bridge” version from Joomla 3 to 4.

I can confirm that I was able to install Admin Tools Pro 6.1.1

However it didn't appear in the component menu.

I then added the download key and then updated to 7.0.2 at which point everything now works.

Thanks

I cannot reproduce the Component menu issue. This sounds like a Joomla issue, probably a caching issue. When updating the extension the menu item is not regenerated / updated / overwritten so the fact that now everything works fine means that Joomla did create it just fine the first time you installed version 6, it just didn't display it.
