When I go to the admintools component i don't see the .htaccesmaker.

You seem to have accidentally installed Admin Tools Core, the free of charge version of our software which does not have the .htaccess Maker and other security features.
Please download Admin Tools Professional from our site and install it twice in a row, without uninstalling Admin Tools before or in between. This will fully update your installation of Admin Tools to the Professional release.
