Before setting the site live I had installed admin tools pro and set a parameter for backend (?xxxxxx)

Yesterday I was wondering why backend access is possible without backend parameter. Now I saw that only core is installed yet no more pro version.

Some days ago I had made an update of Admin Tools. Think at this time it must be happened.

Admin Tools cannot automatically revert to the Core version. There are three things which might have happened.

  1. You performed the update manually, accidentally installing the Core version instead of the Professional. This is outside our control.
  2. Joomla never changed the Update Site when you upgraded from Admin Tools Core to Admin Tools Professional on your site. Therefore it installed the Core version installed of the Professional version when you ran the update. Since this whole process is managed by Joomla that would be a Joomla bug we cannot work around.
  3. You are using third party software / services to run updates to your site. Depending on how they work they may end up installing the wrong edition of our software. This is outside our control.

You just need to install the Professional version on top of the Core version. 

Download the latest Professional version from our site. Go to Extensions, Install and use the Upload and Install tab to install the new version's ZIP file twice in a row, without uninstalling Admin Tools before or in between. This will upgrade you back to Admin Tools Professional.
