Hello,

I've found the same topic #27790 dated the year 2017.

I cleared the browser and the Joomla cache several times but the button still exists.

Components, Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF, Enable IP Workarounds: set to Yes.

If this doesn't help the problem is that your browser is caching the response to the POST request we are sending to the server. According to the HTTP specification this should never happen with a standards-compliant client (browser) talking to a standards-compliant server. Are you using a CDN, caching proxy or some other caching at your server? We've found that some caching solutions, e.g. the LiteSpeed server's caching, defy the standards and do crazy things we cannot work around.

Thank you Nicholas,

I use Cloudflare. I purged the cache there and it helped.

Sometimes i block myself :-) but I never met this issue with the button before.

Anyway everything is ok now.

If you're using CloudFlare there are two things you need to do.

On your site, Components, Admin Tools, Web Application Firewall, Configure WAF, Enable IP Workarounds: set to Yes.

On CloudFlare, create a page rule to disable caching on /administrator/*

The former will make sure that Admin Tools sees the correct IP address, not CloudFlare's origin address. This is already documented. The latter will ensure that CloudFlare will not attempt to cache your backend pages which must always be exempt from caching.
