I just moved a site from one area on our server to another using Akeeba Backup and Kickstart.

The site restored properly, but I kept getting marked as a spammer for template= in URL. The URL in question was https://doctoroffitness.com/component/ajax/?p=theme%2Fimage&src=WyJpbWFnZXNcL3lvb3RoZW1lXC9uaW9oLWNvbnRhY3QuanBnIixbWyJkb1Jlc2l6ZSIsWzE2MDAsOTQwLDE2MDAsOTQwXV0sWyJkb0Nyb3AiLFsxNjAwLDk0MCwwLDBdXV1d&hash=eb9067e784b78e1935466c6f8e1bf3f9&style=14&template=yootheme

So indeed the template= was in the URL, but we never got this message in the other location. I checked and the original location has "Block template=foo site template switch" set to yes. But on this clone of the site, I have to set it to know.

I cannot find any place where I am using that sort of URL with the template= in it.

Any ideas as to why the clone exhibits this issue. Did I restore it incorrectly?

BTW - I have moved dozens of sites from the development area to the live area of my server and have never run into this.

Thanks,

Dom

It looks like you've found the root cause of the issue and applied the correct fix.

I cannot possibly tell you how the site you cloned from may have been ever so slightly different so as not to create this kind of URL that results in a blocked request OR do generate it but in less frequency so nobody noticed because nobody got blocked.
