My client reports some Analytics spam from trafficbot.life. I found this support ticket: https://www.akeeba.com/support/admin-tools/Ticket/26149:about-bot-list-suggestion.html - here you say specific bots can just be excluded by user agent. I only know that the website is called with the URL www.clientwebsite.com/trafficbot.life. How can I get to add the user agent of that specific bot to add it to the setting "User agents to block, one per line"?

Or what other measures do you recommend?

Thanks for any tips!

Hello,

you should take a look at your webserver log (usually Apache). There, you will find one entry for each visit, including the HTTP response code, the URL requested and the user agent.

You can track down the exact line using the URL you provided, you should find something "odd", maybe a strange user agent.

Then you can add such user agent to the list of banned ones and you should be good to go.

Let me know how it goes.
