Please confirm Admin Tools extension version numbers - using v5.9.1

When I browse EXtensions > Manage screen I see all Admin Tools extensions = v5.9.1

except the following two:

Action Log - Admin Tools Log User Actions = v1.0 (2018-11-30)
Installer - Admin Tools Professional = v6.6.0 (2019-07-19)

When I browse for Akeeba Backup I see equivalent extensions listed for that application BUT they have the same version number as the other Backup extensions.

Can you please confirm that the two extensions listed above are the ones that should be used with Admin Tools v5.9.1 ?

I assume they are because everything seems to be working fine.

If not correct then how should I proceed?

Best wishes,

Ken :)

Thanks for the heads up. I've set up the automatic update of XML manifests in all other repositories of our software. It looks like I missed Admin Tools.

Hi Nicholas,

OK - so does thatΒ  when the next update is released the suffix of these two extensions will be in line with the release number?

For example, 5.9.2 or whatever.

Not too early I think to wish you all a very Merry Xmas.

And of course, thank you for the continued great support!

Correct. The next version will update both plugins' versions to be the same as the component and the package.

Some background. We use Phing to build all of our software, using the common Phing build script from Akeeba Build Files with customisations for each software we release. This allows us to have a standardised method for building software, creating releases, publishing update streams, upload development releases, create the symlinks we need for local development, convert our documentation from DocBook XML to PDF and so on and so forth.

Build Files has an xml-version task which automatically updates the version and build date in XML manifests. However, the Admin Tools repository wasn't calling it because of a customisation we had made in the build process: we have to create a slightly different plg_system_admintools plugin for Core and Pro versions. As a result the XML manifests of the other two plugins, plg_actionlog_admintools and plg_installer_admintools, were not being updated. I have added xml-version to the Admin Tools build customisation and now they are going to be updated when we release a new version.

Once again, thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Merry Christmas :)
