Hello,

on my clients website I'm using Yootheme Pro with Admin Tools.
Yootheme has a forum and there it says that this combination of software (Yootheme Pro and Admin Tools) can have consequences for the page cache.
They also say that you guys are busy with fixing this so I will wait patiently.

Another thing is that sometimes the images on the homepage are still 'enlarged' when accessing the homepage.
https://ibb.co/Jjbz04f (images enlarged)
https://ibb.co/qDd6mYF (images 'normal')

I tried some things and it looks like when you visit the homepage from an external link where they refer to the website with 'www' in front, this problem with the images rises.
In the backend I put in the htaccess file generated with Admin tools that the site has to go from 'www' to without 'www'.
Can it be this has something to do with this?

Thanks!
Greetings, Ton.

Hello,

First of all, there's nothing that should be "fixed" on our end. Yootheme is using the cache folder for media files, while it's meant to be used only for server-side cache (ie avoid some database queries).

It will be always blocked by Admin Tools, because this is the right way to be. They are using in a incorrect way a folder that is meant only for server information, not for media files.

Regarding your issue, are you sure the problem is caused by Admin Tools?
Please replace your current .htaccess file with Joomla default one (you should have a file name htaccess.txt in your root folder), then manually disable Admin Tools system plugin.

Do you still have the same issue? If so, it means that's not caused by Admin Tools extension.

Hello Davide,

Thanks for your fast reply!
I will replace the htaccess file for the default of Joomla and test again.

I also will tell Yootheme they are using the cache folder in a wrong way and hope they fix it soon.

Thanks!

Hello Davide,

It was not Admin Tools causing problems with the cache.
I've disabled JCH Optimize and now I'v got no problems with enlarged images.
Only thing is that when not using JCH Optimize, the website is a bit slower when I test at Google page speed.

Thanks for your help!
