Tried to use the standard Joomla update system, but could not update from 5.6.0 as there were error messages about 'downgrading' from the current FOF level.

Downloaded the installation file, and tried to use the Joomla install system, and received some additional errors about the FOF, but it appeared to move to 5.7.1

But then the log showed the software levels as seen in the attachment.

I'm confused about this, have never had a problem with installation of any Akeeba component like this previously.

Please advise.

Addendum:

Saw in another ticket that Akeeba Backup may have needed to be updated.   Did not received an update notice for it, but did notice it was on v7.2.0, while the site was on 7.1.2, that update went without error, and the log shows Backup at the proper component level.

You can safely ignore these messages. There is a chicken and egg issue when an update changes features in a system plugin which is loaded by Joomla before it installs the update. And yes, you do need to update both Akeeba Backup and Admin Tools. There are changes in the FOF library that used by both extensions so they need to be both upgraded to prevent an older version of Akeeba Backup or Admin Tools throwing errors when it comes across the new FOF library.
