One of my sites is populair with asia this month. On average i get about 30-40 alerts a month. Today alone, it's over 200. So bad, i had to temporarily unpublish the ip blocking template. As my mailbox got flooded. Out of an experiment, i enabled the debug feature to see this additional info it claims to log.

From what i can see it seems near identical? Except for 1 thing. In the file "admintools_breaches.php" i see this at every entry

Country : (unknown country)

Continent : (unknown continent)

Country/contentinent are still "logged".

Obviously with the removal of that logging functionality. Those 2 lines to me, seem to be no longer relevant nor required, since an ip isn't actually logged. Perhaps an oversight during the removal process, that slipped past the tons of code you folks had to review? (at some point it's only natural to oversee something, you're only human afterall).

These are in your email template. We do not override your email templates when you are upgrading Admin Tools because that would remove any customization you may have done. If you installed Admin Tools afresh you'd see that these lines are no longer present in the default email template. For your upgraded site you can simply edit the email template.

Is this the template in question? "Failed administrator login"?

The standard "security exception" i had already edited manually to remove the GEO options.

You never told me WHICH email you are receiving. That's why I didn't tell you which email template to edit in the first place :)

Because it wasn't in an email.

It's in the debug file i see the GEO info still logged, but perhaps that wasn't entirely clear :)

I've attached the files in question. The chinese were on a role 302 attempts in 1 night, multiple sources. Today another 60.

I misunderstood you. Yes, the log file still contained these strings. Thank you, I am removing them for next release.

No worries, such things happen. Glad i could make a tiny contribution. I'll await next release then.

Problem solved!
