Great Joomla Admin tools, however I'm using the .htaccess maker and I'm unable to get any version of (http or https with www.) www.celestialarts.net to redirect to my actual website https://celestialarts.net.

I've got the 'Redirect www and non-www addresses' option set to 'Redirect www to non-www' but still to no avail!! I'm going round in circles. Please could you help! I know you said in the help and documentation that sometimes it can even be our browsers that are causing the issue. I've cleared all caches and tried in different browsers but still getting this message whenever I try to see if www will redirect properly!

Error Message:

The page isn’t redirecting properly
An error occurred during a connection to www.celestialarts.net.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Edit your configuration.php file in the root of your site. Look for $live_site. In almost all cases it should be an empty string, just two single quotes ''. Having the wrong URL there can cause what you're describing.

public $live_site = '';

Any other ideas? Thank you!

In .htaccess Maker, all the way at the bottom of the screen, there are two fields with URLs in them. Make sure you don't have www in them. My site doesn't seem to care, but that's the only other place I can think of that has URLs in it.

In Joomla!'s Global Config file, on the first tab, there is a field for Cookie Domain. That is normally blank.

It's ok Siteground my web host have figured it out. It felt like a higher up issue than I had access to and it was my Cloudflare settings! Doh!
