Hello,

I was searching for more information regarding the 3rd Party Application exception I found in my logs. Could it be that PHP session data poisoning protection is being meant with this?

I can't find an email template that matches the code "SessionShield" and thought that you might have changed the name here. Especially since I also don't find any feature documentation about "3rd Party Applications".

SessionShield is a protection we added back in December 2015 when we contributed a fix to a session poisoning attack. Since it's not controlled by any setting (it's always on) it is listed as a third party application security exception. There is nothing you need to worry about. Admin Tools simply blocked a malicious request and even if it didn't your version of Joomla would have as well.
