Hi,

I manually update our websites by installing new Admintools version over last one which never got me into trouble before. But while doing the same for 5.3.1 over 5.3.0 I get errors mixed with uninstall message (attached screenshot). The new package seems to be installed anyway and the update does not appear anymore but because of the errors I tried to reinstall it a second time.

On two of the three websites I tested, the second installation seemed to fix the problem completely as it did not show any error and everything seems to be working properly but on the third one (unfortunately first I tried and did not take any screenshot) I then had a second error mentioning something like maximum table locks exceeded and I lost all Admintools parameters, as if I was installing for the first time which of course was absolutely not the case.

Not a very bad issue but as I have to run this update on many websites, I would appreciate any idea on how to avoid the problem if possible of course.

Thanks in advance for your help and have a nice day.

Hello,

long story short: you can safely ignore them.
We move some plugins from a folder to another (changing it's type), so Joomla complains about not finding them during the update, but that's expected.

You can ignore them since you won't see them again.

Thanks for your answer.

If I understand correctly, that means I do not need to reinstall a second time, the first one is correct anyway ?

Any idea why on one website I lost all parameters when reinstalling ? I could not reproduce it anywhere else but strange enough to get me curious.

Yes, you are right

The error you got was produced directly from your database, most likely it ran out of resources. This means that the installation failed and "something weird happened". Exactly I don't know, but there are good chances that the data was lost, that's why you lost all Admin Tools configuration settings. This is something that we (you and us) can't fix, you should report the issue to your host since he has to take a look at your database settings.

Thanks for the feedback.

As for the DB bug, it's really an isolated case on servers I work on everyday with many different websites and no particular problems until now, so at least for the moment, let's say it's just bad luck.

Have a nice evening.
