Dear Sir,Mrs,

We get a lot of form spam from [email protected]. I could tame it by using OSpam-a-not from Joomla Shanck, but unfortunately I cannot use it with AdminTools, WAF, Tab request Fltering option: Advanced. I need to set it to Basic.

Question/Feature Request: is it possible to have a time limit to the Adanced option just like Spam-a-not, to prevent the Form spam?

Hello,

I think in your case the best thing to do is to implement a captcha in your submission form.
Is that there already? If you can't, you could take a look at the CSRF protection (advanced). Most of the attacks are automated, so that would stop 90% of your issues.

Hello tampe125,

I already did this. It did not stop the form spam from these people. The O-spam-a-not from Joomlashack did but had issues on the CRSF advanced protection. I had to reduce it to Basic, hence my feature request.
They check if the form is filed within a number of seconds. Five seconds was enough to stop this specific Form Spam.

To be honest I'd strongly suggest to use anything time-based. I can think in a couple of ways on how I can easily trick it and work around that protection or the performance hit your site would be very tough.
I'd strongly suggest you to stick with classic captchas, even better using Google ReCaptcha service.
