I continue to get this error message when trying to update the GeoIP Database V2.0
"A connection error occurred. Please retry updating the GeoLite2 Country database in 24 hours."

Any suggestions? Updates work fine on the same host under different accounts, and had formerly worked perfectly well under this particular account.

Your GeoIP plugin is up to date, that's one thing that can cause this.

The other is that sometimes the connection to the Max Mind website has problems. That is why you get a suggestion to try again in 24 hours.

The button to update still shows... so, it seems that an update is still available.
Also, the connection to the Max Mind website works fine only moments later on a different website I manage... just not FOUR sites under this one hosting account. But, the dozens of other sites I manage, no issue what so ever.
Any other ideas?

I'm sorry, I had to get with Nicholas and Davide on this. Being seven hours apart is sometimes a problem.

Nicholas thought that most likely the host has a caching proxy which has cached the last failure response from MaxMind. If he's right, it should be working now.
