I renewed my subscription with you ... and discovered that I did not get the discount. Can you please adjsut this?

The automatic renewal discount is applied only if you renew before your subscription expires and only if you purchase the exact same subscription. If you renew before your subscription expires you do not lose any subscription time. This information, along with the exact date and time your subscription expires, was written in the two emails you received from us 30 and 15 days before your subscription expired. These emails come from the notifications -at- akeebabackup dot com email address, just like the emails you receive when you subscribe.

Your previous subscription expired on April 23rd and you purchase a new subscription on June 12th, almost two months after the expiration of your subscription. As a result you were not eligible for a discounted price and that's why you did not receive the discount.

Please keep in mind that the renewal discount is given as an incentive for our clients to renew early. It doesn't make sense to give it if you let your subscription expire. It beats the purpose. In fact, if we could afford to give a lower price to everyone we would be charging that lower price to begin with. Unlike other developers who charge an exorbitant nominal price and hand out massive discount coupons like candy, we are not in the business of defrauding people. We charge fair prices, enough to guarantee continued development of the product but not enough to be rich or even wealthy, with absolute transparency. Thank you for your understanding.
