Since upgrading to version 5.1.0 of Admin Tools, the number of 404 shield error reporting has greatly increased.

Is there a reason for this?

I cannot find a setting where the 404 shield errors will not trigger an email to me. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks,
Dom

Dom,

There was a little glitch in the original install of Admin Tools when the 404 Shield feature was introduced. Go to the tab with 404 Shield and click the save button. The problem was that the default settings are displayed, but were not written to the database. That would cause all 404 errors to be reported by 404 Shield, not just the ones listed. That wouldn't have changed with the update, but it may solve your volume issue.

If you don't want to see the 404 Shield results in emails, go to Logging and Reporting tab and add 404 Shield to the "Do not email" field. You will get a dropdown list, you don't need to type it in.
