Hi team!

I have blocked access as usual to our site. However, we now have Publishers that need access in order to publish their content. How can I make this happen? When they try to log in, they get redirected to the home page (which I believe is expected behavior). How can I configure this so they can edit and publish content on our site without giving them Admin access?

Thank you for your help!

Hello,

when a publisher tries to access to your site, can you please take a look at the Security Exception page?
Can you see his IP in the records?
I suspect you have set the Whitelist IP feature: this means that only certain users can actually log inside your site backend.
If you want to allow these people to login, you have to disable such feature. You could add their IP in the list of the Whitelisted one, but that's dangerous since it means that Admin Tools will be completely shut down for them.

Hi Davide,

I do not have the IP Whitelist section enabled. (I also tried that, thinking it would be the solution)

The user gets the login screen. Once they enter the credentials they immediately get the notice that "this user does not have access to the administrator panel".

I really need them to have access, but I have no clue what to do next.

This is something handled by Joomla itself, not Admin Tools.
You have to get inside the Global Configuration page and for the publisher group you have to grant the permission to access to the backend.
Then you'll have to edit the components you want them to edit and grant access to them, too.
However this is a more general Joomla question, I'd suggest you to seek help on Joomla forums.
