I installed the JoomlArt template JA Wall Quickstart (latest version), and deleted the demo articles and entered 14 of my own. Everything was looking an acting pretty much the way I wanted it to.

Then, I installed Akeeba Admin Tools to protect the site, and ran the .htaccess maker. As soon as the new .htaccess file was created, I refreshed the site, and all of the articles on the front page grid became jumbled, with some articles partially on top of others. When I delete the new .htaccess file, everything returns to normal.

I'm guessing that one or two settings in the .htaccess maker is causing this problem, but I can't guess which one(s) it is. Has any of you seen this? I will begin testing each setting, until I see something change. This will take a while.

Thanks

Hello,

this usually happens when some files are blocked by Admin Tools .htaccess.
The best way to deal with this, is to create an exception to such files and/or folder. You can review this page of the documentation for further help on the subject.
In our experience, this usually is caused by the template provider saving data inside the cache folder, which is completely wrong.
Such folder is blocked by Admin Tools because it should be used for server-side cache, not for storing client cache (ie CSS, javascript etc etc).

Very good. It is comforting to see that you have seen this kind of issue before.

I was able to see that the site was unable to access several .PNG files that were stored in the /cache/jalazyload folder. Now, I just need a safe way to allow access to those .PNG files, without exposing any .PHP or other files that might become an entry point for hackers.

Thanks.

There is an option inside the Htaccess Maker called Allow direct access, except .php files, to these directories, please add that folder in this folder and regenerate the .htaccess.
It should fix your issue.

That fixed it. Thanks for the assistance.

I have posted this experience in the JA Wall forum on the Joomlart site, just in case they want to update their JA LazyLoad plug-in to stop using the cache/jalazyload/ folder for storing .png files.
