Hello,
I installed a component (Balbooa Gallery) that gives access to all Joomla Media folders, I don’t find is very reassuring that all members can have access to all images on the site.

I would like to restrict access only to the image folder of the component and this only to certain users.

I use ACL Manager but it’s not possible to manage permissions of subfolders in Media folder.

What is the best approach to adopt with AdminTools?
First, can AdminTools handle this type of limitation? What should be the option to use? .htaccess Maker or maybe WAF Blacklist?

Thank you for all advice you can give me about it.

Hello,

I'm sorry but that's not possible.
Images are served directly from your webserver, without passing trough Joomla. This means that even Admin Tools can simply completely block or allow access to a specific folder, you can't do that on a per-user basis.
In order to do what your trying to do, you need an ad-hoc component, that will serve images based on user permissions.

... thank you for your explanation, maybe you have a component to advise me that could perform this task?

Honestly I don't have any component to suggest, I've never used anything like that.
