Hi,

I use a shared hosting to host my customer´s web sites.
The antimalware system for all the platform, which is not under my control, had repeteadly blocked ports which disable access to backend, forms, outgoing email, etc..., when a suspected file have been detected.
The problem is that the suspected file is not a real malware, it is just a log file which is being generated by admintools. The file affected is admintools_breaches.log.

My hoster says me he can not modify the rules of the security system reasoning that as it is a shared hosting it would affect negatively to other users. I have asked them for making some kind of exclusion because I have a dedicated IP for this site and try to apply some exception for this ip,now i am waiting)

To avoid the same problem I have deativated the log secuity exception to NO (What means "---"?
But I want to log all this events.

What should I do?

Hello,

Well, the simplest answer is: change your host.
If they run a malware scanner and they can't create exceptions, this means that they are using a broken product or they can't configure it.
In either cases you should really flee away from them.

For your information, every scanner will report false positives and it needs to setup some kind of exclusion list. Otherwise it means that they truly invented the 100% correct scanner and they should sell it for gold, not giving it away for free ;)
