Hello
I have several joomla sites and I started making updates from version 3.8.1 to version 3.8.3.
On almost all sites after doing the above update after a few minutes I was thrown out as a spammer by the WAF.
The indicated reason is Admin Query String.
It happened to me working in joomla but also, this is a mystery, after a few minutes I was properly released by joomla and I had closed the administrative page.
I've been thinking about some session problems but I do not know if I can hit it or not.
Please help me because I can not leave the sites defenseless.

Thank you
Enrico

First, when you update Joomla!, you need to clear your caches. All sorts of strange stuff can happen if you have old code cached and new code being read off your disk.

Two things that can cause "admin query string" errors are session timeouts and your browser. The session timeouts can be reduced by increasing the session lifetime in Global Configuration.

The browser is a little trickier. Those little pictures of recently visited sites that your browser shows you can cause errors. The browser visits the back end of your site to take the screen shot and causes a security exception because it doesn't use the secret URL parameter. You may need to review your auto-ban settings and loosen them up a bit.
