Hello,
forcing HTTPS in your Joomla site is very very easy.
Simply get inside Joomla Global Configuration and set the option Force SSL to Entire site.
That said, did you edited your .htaccess file?
Please remove any extra rule for forcing HTTPS from it, since Joomla is way better to handle it.
