Hi,

I'm getting a popup that says:
Authentication Required
http://[mydomain.com] requires a username and password.
Your connection to this site is not private

... with fields, of course, for a username and password. See attached picts.

This isn't locking me out, because I find that I can simply enter the username and password for the Joomla admin user who configured Admin Tools (myself).

But other admin users can't use their user names and passwords to get past this.

I'd prefer not to have popup appear. I assume that this is a "security feature". As it started up right after I installed and configured Admin Tools, I assume that one of the settings that I configured is causing this, and that if I simply toggle that switch this popup will stop appearing.

Which setting is it that is causing this?

Thanks,

Douglas

You are correct, it was enabled by the First Run Wizard of Admin Tools. It is actually an Apache web server level password protection of your /administrator folder.

You can disable it by deleting the .htaccess and .htpasswd files in the /administrator folder - NOT the root folder.
