 Hi,

I encounter a problem when trying to update Admintools (from 4.1.3 to 4.2.0) on a specific website hosted by Bluewin.

If trying with the extension installer I get a 403 error concerning administrator/index.php and if trying with the updater I get a Joomla message saying : "Erreur de connexion au serveur SSL: certificate subject name '*.sgvps.net' does not match target host name 'www.akeebabackup.com'"

The rights on the file and up folders /web/administrator/index.php are correct and even setting them to 777 does not solve the problem (host support first guess).

I also encountered this problem with another package (Icagenda) all others updated correctly including Akeeba backup.

As I have a clown of this website on another host wich does not show this problem, I think it's neither related to a joomla installer / updater issue nor to Admintools even if the hosting company support keeps saying so.

In order to prove that it was at least not an Admintools issue, I tried with no htaccess and main.php renamed but the result (extension installer) is exactely the same.

The hosting company support does not find what's going on and neither do I, so I thought you may have an idea ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Something really weird is going on with your site. It looks like it has an ancient SSL library version which doesn't understand how to send the request properly, causing an SSL error (if you want something more technical: it looks like the SSL library on your host doesn't support SNI and ends up using the generic, host-provided SSL certificate instead of the SSL certificate dedicated to our site). Since this is an issue on your host's end neither you nor us can do anything about it. You will have to install updates manually, downloading the ZIP package from our site yourself and using Upload & Install to install it on your sites. Sorry :(
