Hi ,

I have a template support person that needs to login to my website and I need to disable Admin Tools temporarily so they do not get blocked when trying to login.

Not sure what the best approach to that is since I want to quickly re-enable it once he fixes the issue.

You can disable WAF by unpublishing the System - Admin Tools plugin. That leaves the enhanced .htaccess file. You can rename that and then rename htaccess.txt, Joomla!'s own default .htaccess file. That will quickly and easily disable all Admin Tools features and make it easy to get them back.
